Vblock, VSPEX, and Flash to be hot topics at EMC World

EMC World is upon us.

EMC World begins Monday in Las Vegas. As partner shows go, this is one of the big ones. EMC World is actually comprised of three integrated events:

  1. Global Partner Summit on Monday is focused on partners like Datalink.
  2. Global Technical Summit for EMC and partner SEs
  3. VMworld for partners and customers.

In total, nearly 20,000 people will overbook the Venetian, Palazzo and overflow hotels. It is expected to be a very busy week. Last year EMC made 42 product announcements during EMC World. While we have been briefed on many of the upcoming announcements we need to wait until they roll out to share details without NDAs — stay tuned next week for updates. Clearly, hot topics will include updates to core products lines, much more with flash across product lines, continued progress on converged infrastructure like Vblock and VSPEX and of course more on the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC).

Datalink is aligned on most of the key strategies and messages and our presence at EMC World reflects that. We will have a booth (923) featuring VDC/converged infrastructure, cloud enablement and other strategic solutions. Last year we launched VSPEX in conjunction with the EMC launch and had great success in 2012, gaining momentum into 2013. Datalink will be speaking in the Partner Buzz area on Tuesday at 12:00 focused on delivering the promise of Cloud/ITaaS to your organization. We will also be hosting customers and attending strategy planning sessions making for a full schedule.

If you are attending in person, stop by booth 923 to say hello. If not, stay tuned and we will provide updates throughout the week.
