Don’t Be the Next Ransomware Victim — Use These Quick and Effective Strategies

A successful ransomware attack is truly unfortunate. One day you are going about your business, dealing with the usual onslaught of internal and external challenges. And, the next day, malicious actors are telling you that your data or systems are encrypted, off-limits unless you pay unfathomable and unplanned amounts.

As we’ve seen, such instances are extremely harmful to a business, its employees, partners, and customers. And they are only getting increasingly mature. What was once a smaller-scale attack method targeting consumers is now being wielded against businesses and their (larger) asset bases.

A public service announcement issued by the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) last October states, “Ransomware attacks are becoming more targeted, sophisticated, and costly, even as the overall frequency of attacks remains consistent.”

In the past couple of months, I’ve personally assisted four different organizations struggling with ransomware attacks. It made me realize how important it is to communicate prevention strategies — as many businesses simply aren’t aware of the vulnerabilities in their environment.

I’ve laid out several quick and effective strategies in the report, “How to Protect Your Business from Ransomware Attacks.” Read it to learn:

  • Considerations to make when purchasing endpoint solutions
  • Important actions to take to ensure the security of your identity platforms
  • An easy way to protect the integrity of your infrastructure and operating systems
  • And much more
