Datalink to Discuss Data Center Relocation Strategy at Data Center World

Sept. 12 Panel Discussion Will Leverage Datalink’s Experience in Data Center Moves

Datalink (Nasdaq: DTLK) announced today that Irwin Teodoro, the company’s National Practice Director of Data Center Transformation, has been selected to participate in a panel discussion about best practices in data center relocation at next week’s Data Center World conference in New Orleans. Teodoro’s team has executed complex data center migration and consolidation projects for a wide range of enterprise clients, including multi-country moves.

The Data Center World session, “Using DCIM for Data Center and Colocation Moves,” will take place from 1-2 pm on Monday, September 12, in Room R206 of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The discussion will focus on best practices for moving or migrating to another data center or colocation facility.

Topics to be addressed include strategies for successfully moving mission-critical applications and servers as well as storage and network infrastructure; the role of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools for facilitating incident-free physical moves; application mapping methodologies that help shorten move time by enabling software and data to be safely moved together in “bundles;” and other steps involved in successful data center migrations.
